Take the mattress off if you can, then measure the platform edge to edge at its widest and longest points. That is the true size of your space, and it is often not what the old mattress says.
Cut or rounded corners, a lift-up storage base, a slide-out wall, the cabinet over your head. Write down what is there and how much room it leaves you.

Mattresses compress and shift, and plenty were the wrong size to begin with. Take the old one off if you can and measure the platform edge to edge.

Measure at the widest and longest points, twice. RV walls are rarely square, and a corner is often cut or rounded so you can get past the foot of the bed.

We keep our advice grounded in measurements and our claims specific. You won't find vague promises here. As beds are added to the collection, each one will list its dimensions and options, so you can compare them against the space you actually have.
Sometimes, but check first. A standard home queen is 60 by 80 inches. Many RV bedrooms are built around a short queen at 60 by 75 inches, so a home queen can overhang the platform by 5 inches. Measure the platform before you buy anything, and use the fit tool to keep the numbers in one place.
Measure the full width and length first, as if the corners were square. For an angled cut, measure how far the cut runs along each edge from where the square corner would be. For a rounded corner, the easiest method is to trace it onto a sheet of paper and photograph the template next to a tape measure.
Measure the platform. An older mattress may have compressed, shifted or been the wrong size to begin with. The platform is the true boundary of the space. Note the old mattress size too, since it tells us what you've been living with.
Many RV bedrooms have cabinets over the head of the bed. A taller mattress raises your head closer to them, which affects how comfortably you can sit up to read. Measure from the top of the platform to the underside of the lowest cabinet above it.
